- Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google.
- Usage data: Songs you play, download, or like. Playlists you create. Search queries you enter.
- Uploaded content: If you upload music, we store the audio file, cover image, song title, artist name, and any lyrics you provide.
- Device & technical data: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and general location (country/city level) for analytics and security purposes.
- Push notification subscriptions: If you opt in to push notifications, we store your browser's push subscription endpoint to send you alerts about new songs.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the music streaming and download service.
- To personalise your experience (recently played, recommendations, liked songs).
- To send push notifications about new music (only if you opted in).
- To review and approve uploaded music before it goes live.
- To detect and prevent abuse, spam, or policy violations.
- To understand how the platform is used (analytics via Google Analytics).
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser localStorage (not traditional cookies) to store your login session token and preferences (theme, language). This data stays on your device and is not sent to third parties.

- Cloudflare R2 — for storing audio files and cover images.
- Render.com — for hosting the backend API.
- Cloudflare Pages — for hosting the frontend.
- Brevo (Sendinblue) — for sending email notifications when your song is approved.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal information with third parties except:
- As required by Ugandan law or lawful authority.
- With the service providers listed above, solely to operate the platform.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data and uploaded content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.
Play history and analytics data may be retained in aggregated, anonymised form for longer periods.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and personal data.
- Opt out of push notifications at any time through your browser settings.
- Opt out of personalised advertising through your Google account settings.
